Second Annual Western Art Show

Hosted by Parker County Sheriff’s Posse at the Ranch Rodeo

Thursday 7pm - 8:30pm | Friday 5:30pm – 7:30pm | Saturday 10am – 7pm

Eligibility:

  • 18 years & older; all entries prejudged upon submission.

Format:

  • All entries must be western art characterized by
    cowboys, cowgirls, animals, rodeo, or work of the
    western lifestyle.

  • Original work only; submissions must not be more
    than five years old.

Categories: Oil | Watercolor | Graphics | Photography

  • Art will be judged by category.

  • All art must be framed and have rings for hanging.

  • Art must not exceed 48 inches in any one direction, frame included.

Registration/Payment:

  • $25 entry fee per piece of art.

  • Mail: Parker County Sheriff’s Posse, POB 28, Weatherford, TX 76086. ATTN: Art Show. The registration form must be filled out and included with payment.

Delivery Deadline:

  • All submissions must be delivered to the PCSP Club house on Monday September 8th 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

Awards:

  • Judging the event is award winning cowboy artist, Tyler Crow. (Cowboy Artists of America, 2016).

  • Each artist will be given two complimentary rodeo tickets

  • Winners announced at the Art Reception, Ranch Rodeo, and Online.

  • The amount of the award is dependent on the number of entries in each category. Twenty dollars of every $25 fee will be added together to create a winnings pot in each category. (The Posse will keep $5) The 1st place winner in each category will win 50% of the pot. The 2nd place winner in each category will win 30%, and the 3rd place winner in each category will win 20%. Bonus money will be added to each prize winners check depending on our sponsorship support. Winners’ checks will be mailed the week after the show.

  • First through fourth place ribbons will be awarded and displayed throughout the show, as well as a “Top of Show” Ribbon

  • A special “Top of Show” award-winner will be given a custom made trophy buckle.

Display and Sale of Art:

  • The total proceeds of the sale of any piece of art will go to the artist.

  • Checks or credit card purchases will be made to Parker County Sheriff's Posse, and checks will be mailed to the artists the following week.
    All art will be handled with utmost care, but PCSP is not responsible for any damage.

  • Art must be picked up September 15th, 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

  • All art must remain on display for the entire show, including any pieces that are sold. Arrangements can be made with buyers to pick up their art after the show closes on Saturday night.
