FRIDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT

A traditional country artist with a modern edge, Jamie Richards has built a loyal following across Texas and the Southwest with his pedal steel-driven sound, heartfelt lyrics, and authentic storytelling.

Raised on a dairy farm in Oklahoma, Richards developed his strong work ethic from his father and his love of music from his mother. After years of performing in Oklahoma honky-tonks, he moved to Nashville, where he worked construction while pursuing a music career. Though recording deals with RCA and Capitol Records didn't materialize, his songwriting earned him a staff writer position with Curb Records, leading to cuts by artists including Cody Jinks, Hal Ketchum, Ken Mellons, and Kevin Fowler.

In 2002, Richards released his debut album, No Regrets, which produced two Top 10 Texas Regional Radio singles. He relocated to Texas in 2005 and has since become one of the state's most respected country artists, releasing eight albums and 25 radio singles, including 13 Texas Regional Radio chart-toppers. His song “Second-Hand Smoke” was named Song of the Year in 2016, and “One Tequila” was featured in the 2018 film Zoe.

Richards is currently writing a new album slated for release in 2026, continuing his tradition of delivering honest, hard-country music that resonates with everyday fans.
